Mandalas

I’m surely not the first kid that loved pockets. I would fill my pockets with the treasures of nature, lambs tongue leaves, polynoses (maple seedpods) we stuck on our noses, and pine needles and pinecones we would rub in our fingers and delight in their fragrance. And then there were beautiful rose petals which fell off rose bushes—such an experience of delight to touch, gather, and shape together. Eventually all of this collecting of nature evolved into creating nature mandalas—or circles—organized shapes or patterns displaying natural elements.
